about
"I wrote this song years ago for my youngest son, Evan. He was shy and innocent. We spent a lot of time hanging out together, and I realized my late brother Bart and I did the same thing. So, I kept the innocence, but added a bridge that would speak to how close Bart, Jeff, and I were… brothers.
I loved being in The Pumps and in Bart’s honor, we brought in his talented son, Nick Frye, to fill in for him. So, this new Pumps song is for Evan, Bart, and all who loved him. I miss you son. We all do.
All proceeds from ‘Best Friends’ will go to Bart’s favorite charity, the Gary Sinise Foundation, honoring our proud veterans.
Thanks to Jeff and Nick. Love you both so much."
